The Flocon Road Maintenance unit is a multi purpose vehical specifically designed for all types of road maintenance. The unit consists of a static body with an in built conveyor system that moves the material to the rear discharge area. The unit is suitable for use with all quarry materials and asphalts.

A typical productivity improvement of 40% can be achieved when comparing the output of this unit with the output from the normal method of a crew of men with a tipper truck.

The following are some road maintenance tasks which can be done with the unit.

• Occupational health and safety. A typical characteristic of the unit may be found in the filling of a hole in the road. This is done by driving the unit to the hole and unloading the material directly into the hole using the hydraulic driven conveyor. If shovelling is necessary, the material may be unloaded from a shovel bin which is located at the correct working hieght.

• There are many options and fittings which have been designed for the Flocon to aid productivity and improve worker safety.

Standard equipment includes manufacture of the body and hydraulics for a cab chassis, horizontal discharge chain conveyor which is operated from the cab or rear of the unit, cable control PTO, pump and specially designed hydraulic control manifold. An epoxy coated water tank with tap, which is located on the driver's side. An emulsion tank which is located at the curb side, complete with a hydraulic impeller pump, retractable hose reel, spray lance, and a facility for filling the tank from 200 liter drums.

Tank capacities vary according to the size of the body.
