Important as quality of the final product is in the Asphalt business, an environmentally friendly plant has become a necessity from both a regulatory and marketing viewpoint.The solution to an efficient operation needs to be balanced to the plant with consideration given to the aggregate materials as well as site and regulatory limits.

Fabric Bag Filters The FM and FMS (special applications) bag filters are available in stationary, transportable or mobile versions.
Unlike pulse jet filters which require large volumes of compressed air for the cleaning operation our filters use outside air which is drawn in through fast acting valves system by the vacuum produced by the plant exhaust fan. This method allows the bags to be cleaned in accordance to the load placed upon them, rather than the continual shock which results from a high pressure compressed system.
Construction Features;
- Steel Structure.
- Upper elements in "corten" steel, resistant to corrosion.
- Lower part consisting of one or two collecting hoppers with extraction screw conveyors.
- Insulated with external covering in galvanised steel.
- Dual over-temperature safety systems and pressure instrumentation for long bag life.
- Automatic control of exhaust fan determined by dust load.
- Optional cold air intake for use with drum mixers or mastic asphalt production applications.

| Remote controlled venturi damper and low energy centrifugal scrubber for parallel flow installations where conditions do not require a bagfilter or when gaseous vapours must be cleaned. |
|
![]() |
Also known as a "Skimmer" or "Cyclone". Provides efficient separation of larger particles by centrifugal force. Sometimes used on it's own, or with a wet scrubber or bagfilter to assist in the removal of large dust particles in heavy dust situations. |
| May be used with a wet scrubber or Bagfilter where the dust stream does not require the extra efficiency of a centrifugal separator. However unlike the centrifugal separator it has low wear and does not introduce pressure losses in the system which result in higher fan capacities. |
